An abandoned ubosot - the building in a Buddhist temple complex used for ordination - in Thailand's Chiangmai Province. Actually, it's highly unusual to find a religious building in such a ruined state like this. The setting, in the middle of rice fields, was so evocative that I returned to it one dawn in November, when it was surrounded by a fresh rice crop, glistening in the morning dew.
